FotografíasIn June, 2004, Maria travelled to Washington D.C. to attend the 7th Annual United NAtions International Day in Support of Torture and Survivors organized by TASSC (Torture Abolition and Survivors Support Coalition International – www.tassc.org ) This commemoration included various events, for example, a 24 hour vigil, meetings with government and non-government officials and those held among survivors themselves, press conferences , and other events.
